About Us

The GSI is a convenor of philanthropists, business leaders, and people of goodwill who, inspired by the Church’s social teaching and the visionary leadership of Pope Francis, support the Church in building a better world.

Our Vision

GSI envisions a world where everyone has access to social and economic
opportunities, and the freedom to lead a healthy life where human dignity is fully respected.

Inspired by Pope Francis and aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, GSI leverages the Catholic Church’s global networks working with migrants to catalyze philanthropic and business engagement, improving the livelihoods of the most vulnerable.

Our Mission

Our mission is to convene philanthropists, business leaders, representatives of religious ongregations, and leaders from the public and private sectors to raise awareness and support programs that deliver accessible healthcare to vulnerable populations, with a special focus on migrants and refugees.

How we work

With a network spanning the Catholic and broader development communities, along with our own members’ expertise, we foster synergies among Catholic entities and systemic connections with businesses, investors, philanthropies, international bodies and governments. As a catalyst, we support these development partners in finding coherent solutions to meet the needs of marginalized people holistically and efficiently, accelerating progress toward the SDGs.
