GSI is pleased to announce the inauguration of the Pope Francis Migrants Centre in Bangalore, India — a new shelter for migrants to which it proudly contributed, realized through the collaboration of the Scalabrini International Migration Network and other generous partners.

EMPOWERING SMALLHOLDER FARMERS THROUGH A HOLISTIC APPROACH TO IMPROVE THE LIVES OF THE MOST VULNERABLE

The Global Solidarity Forum (GSF), in partnership with Mercy Corps and Salesian Don Bosco, supported by the Helmsley Charitable Trust, is implementing a transformative initiative aimed at empowering smallholder farmers in Ethiopia’s Gambela region. By equipping farmers with the resources, knowledge, and financial tools they need, this project is fostering sustainable livelihoods and economic resilience.

GSF IN UGANDA AND MEXICO: EMPOWERING SISTER-LED PROGRAMS TRASNFORMING THE LIVES OF THE MOST VULNERABLES

Earlier in 2024, the Global Solidarity Forum partnered with a network of religious women congregations to strengthen programs to empower vulnerable communities, with a focus on young girls, mothers and children, with a goal to improve access to healthcare and job opportunities in Uganda, Nigeria and Mexico.

HUMAN TRAFFICKING: TALITHA KUM LAUNCHED THE APP WALKING IN DIGNITY

On January 30th, 2024, in the presence of about 300 people, including ambassadors, people from institutions, religious and young people, Talitha Kum International launched the “Walking in Dignity” application.

We foster innovative collaboration, bringing together key influencers in development and leaders across different sectors of society to advance holistic, inclusive, and sustainable human development for all.

We are inspired by the moral leadership of Pope Francis and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals to build a better world, based on solidarity, charity, and equality.
